About

The Fraternal Order of Police was founded in 1915 by two Pittsburgh patrol officers, Martin Toole and Delbert Nagle.  They organized a meeting with 21 other Pittsburgh police officers of what would become Fort Pitt Lodge #1.  The first annual FOP convention was held in Pittsburgh in 1917, with the first four chartered lodges attending: Pittsburgh, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre and Beaver Valley, making us the fourth oldest lodge in the country.
